Lyrics to I Got Up (J. Movie Song) I got up at 4 am. and you were there too. you’d been lying awake in the breeze. you said “do you want me to turn the tornado down?”, stupid thing why’s it on? the guys upstairs said they didn’t know it’s probably not ghosts. you’ll dial it down with the remote that came with the place. thank you i dont want to leave bed. tired mind. body’s lead. we dont have to get up watch you click. fan goes off.

Lyrics to Oh Man What’s In Your House? Oh man what’s in your house I want it. I need it. It’s you. I need your love - the most steadfast kind. He’s the type that says “I do”, but he really does it. I need shelter from the hail and the sun don’t shine sometimes, and every step I take is almost in the grave to the depths, and the cords they wrap my legs but the guardian of my soul - he is strong and he is able with a word and a whisper... ...to level the earth, and the boats they have no worth. the channel bottoms are seen and the sea is dried up. anyone can fish now, without a pole or a net, just some time. A deep sea voyage is now a week-long at best. if that weren’t a sight, you should talk to the sailors who saw God riding on a cherub. He comes swiftly on the wings of the wind with darkness as his covering. He hears me from his temple My cry comes to his ears He bows down the heavens He is coming He enters under cover but the scriptures know his name He bears light. He bows his body. He is coming to the place of a skull where his heart will turn to wax he is poured out like water for this germ

Lyrics to Keep Your Head Keep your head on. Life - it don’t wait two minutes. mile after mile marker you’ve walked. dodging cars like bullets, left then right it’s hard enough to breathe right, let alone not getting hit tell your fool heart to beat again. paralyzed. fear keeps you down. (the unknown and the known) stressed out and tired from dotting i’s spacing out at the ground with heavy eyes maybe everyone loves you, but maybe you’re a ghost you are a son in a long line. children of the king, who’s alive. he never dies. i love you. and i want to hold you close like a lamb. a broke car window. a punctured tire. that’s me. a bike’s no way to get to far off places like austin, texas or jacksonville, florida. i need some fresh air out on the open road. i need some time away from my family. my friends dont want me. i dont like them. it wont be long before they find me in a diner somewhere. or locked in my room, it dont matter. i feel like a vapor. the wind is gonna come and blow me away. i need them more than i thought. you are a son in a long line. children of the king, who’s alive. he never dies. i love you. and i want to hold you close like a lamb. to my chest. to my heart. oh my God. oh my child.

I Got Up (J. Movie Song)

The original riff was inspired by a dear friend's short film concept. The song ended up being about an amusing (in hindsight) event that occurred repeatedly in our first apartment in Louisville.

Oh Man What's In Your House?

The lyrics are based primarily on Psalm 18 in the Bible, with other biblical references throughout.

In my distress I called upon the Lord;
to my God I cried for help.
From his temple he heard my voice,
and my cry to him reached his ears. (Psalm 18:6)

Keep Your Head

The title track serves as a reminder of assurance and peace in the midst of life's difficulties.
